The engine throttle and gear control mechanism on my narrowboat broke. Even though he was going on holiday, Ian helped me over the phone so I could move my boat to a suitable mooring, then as soon as he was back came and fixed it. It wasn't easy, and he helped me order a new lever mechanism, then fitted it including workshop adaptations to fit it to my boat. It now works perfectly and I have since done the Ribble Link.
