Called in here after taking the dogs for a walk over the adjacent Warton Crag. There is a small [free] car park adjacent. Food service on five days of the week, currently (Oct 2024), NOT on Tuesday or Wednesday. There is a good selection of hot food from "The Canteen" and drinks from the bar. Service was good, with staff friendly and welcoming. As we were eating we were sat in the covered area outside. I had the Moving Mountains* veggie burger - a burger designed to look & taste like a meat one (*name of the company that makes it). On reflection I should have gone for the halloumi option instead. Nothing wrong with it - it was perfectly cooked - just personal choice. Four stars instead of five just because of the coleslaw! I know, it's a small point, but it was just weird (red stained cabbage, not like any coleslaw I've had before). It was so close to five stars! I'd like to go back and sit in the bar area next time I'm in the area. It's a very quirky bar, like being in a large garden shed. Not being a beer drinker, it's good to see they do tea & coffee, so that's something for next time.

Love this place, we called in to book in the evening but decided to stay for the afternoon. It’s an outdoor sort of venue very rustic but it’s lovely but it has a great characterful bar it was really busy in the Saturday afternoon but didn’t have to wait long for anything. The staff were great we had a lovely chat and they made us feel welcome. The food was tremendous all cooked fresh and really tasty probably one of the best burgers I’ve had, I had the Premier Burger (8oz burger pulled pork, bacon and cheese) And very reasonable prices. Plenty of beers to choose from and a great lager We are going back soon to take my daughter and her boyfriend It was that good 5/5 from me

Great little places beers was great and coffee was as good as any coffee shop. Food was good as well. Well worth a visit. We gad chicken tikka burger and chips, ultimate burger chips. Tikka dirty fries and chilli dirty fries.

Great food, great atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and funny Quirky, lots of outdoor seating with a free car park with limited spaces Live music every Sunday 4 until 7 Lovely trail walking direct from the car park

OMG, this place is amazing. Rustic, outdoor but undercover, fabulous food & great home brewed beers. This place is a must!!!!!

Absolutely great local brewery. My parents have lived in the area for 7 years and this is the best food I’ve had in the area in those 7 years of visiting! The salt and pepper ribs are to die for and the hot wings are 10/10. Local beer is very cheap and the people are just lovely. Worth every penny.

Great quirky bar with outside area under canopy .inside small quirky with log fire great selection of ales .canteen serves great food .had the greek shwarma special was amazing ,wife had pulled pork topped burger. Both came with seasoned fries which were out of this world .if your in the area, it's definitely worth a visit .welcomes dogs and hikers

Honestly, cant recommend this place enough. The food is amazing and fairly priced, the brewery is the same and all friendly staff. Also, to add to it all you can walk for miles around the countless trails! Brilliant!

Nice to discover this place, really different to the other pubs in the village, tried a few of their own beers and they were good. Didn't try the food, but what I saw coming out looked nice. Staff were friendly and the look of the place was a nice change from a standard pub. Definitely worth a stop.

Loved our visit this evening. First visit and what a place. Old world barn where you can get hot food and a pint or even a coffee. Enjoyed pie chips and gravy. The pies are home made full of real meat and the gravy was fantastic and I don't like gravy. Will be going again. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Very nice to see people with dogs enjoying it to. Nice crowd. Couldn't be any happier. 5 stars isn't enough.
